▪️ ‘Raijor Padulit Raijor Congress’ campaign launched in Guwahati; interactions and consultations held with representatives of various organisations

Guwahati, January 10: Following the success of the ‘Raijor Padulit Raijor Congress’ campaign across different parts of the state, the campaign has now been launched in Guwahati from today under the initiative of the Pradesh Congress Election Manifesto Committee.

The two-day campaign in Guwahati began today, during which, on the first day, senior leaders of the Pradesh Congress held interactions with representatives of various organisations. According to a statement issued by the Pradesh Congress, Election Manifesto Committee Chairman Pradyut Bordoloi, Leader of the Opposition in the Assam Legislative Assembly Debabrata Saikia, Pradesh Mahila Congress President Mira Borthakur, and former MP Abdul Khaleque received suggestions from representatives of various organisations at Kahua Bon Resort in the city.

Subsequently, a Pradesh Congress delegation comprising senior leaders met Jayanta Baruah, proprietor of the Pratidin Group and publisher of Asomiya Pratidin, and sought his guidance and suggestions. In the afternoon, the team travelled by a special bus to the Nunmati and Bamunimaidam markets, where they interacted with the general public, exchanged views on the manifesto, and gathered public feedback.

As per information received, tomorrow, as part of the campaign, the Pradesh Congress leadership will visit the residence of eminent academician Dr Dinesh Baishya in the morning to seek suggestions on the manifesto. At 12 noon, the senior leadership will again hold consultations with representatives of various organisations and eminent citizens at Kahua Bon Resort. It has also been learnt that Pradesh Congress President Gaurav Gogoi will participate in the programme tomorrow.

Meanwhile, as part of the ‘Raijor Padulit Raijor Congress’ campaign, a large joining programme will be held tomorrow at the Manavendra Sharma Complex. At this event, recently resigned AAMSU leader Rezaul Karim Sarkar, along with several community leaders, will formally join the Congress party.
